Invisible Fence training, having issues with distractions?
Hi I recently purchased a Innoteck Dog Fence. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s kind of like an invisible fence but you have the remote to create the simulation. I have been working with my dog, Kobe, and we are at the point where I can drop the leash and let him roam around, watching him closely of course. But when he sees deer or squirrels (we get those a lot because my house backs up to a marsh) he just goes baserk and runs after them and will not come back with the simulation or temptation of treats. I cannot figure out how to help him learn because I cannot just make the squirrels or deer appear, they just randomly come. How do I de sensitize him to these distractions? Thanks
Unfortunately, real fences are not allowed in my neighborhood. That is why we have decided to try this.
