Make pet radio fences (invisible fences) work well?

I'm looking at the different systems of electronic fencing for pets. I just wanted to know if anyone had different experiences with different brands … and how well do these billboards? Note, I live in an area controlled by the pact that most likely would not "allow" solid "wood fence or any fence. You have to look pretty. Construction a fence is not an option. My neighbors are white vinyl fences (not high enough to maintain a breed of dog in the Giant).

I have had the "invisible" type of fence for over 10 years. "invisible" type of fence is not cruel, as some people on this site will tell you. The shock it gives is mild (and yes, I was surprised by it). The shock value is immeasurable. The best kind of necklace of barrier systems also give a warning beep when the dog approaches the perimeter long before delivering a shock. With proper training the dog will learn quickly where it can and can not go. Therefore, not receive a shock. Most people will tell you that do not work are ignorant about the fences in the first place, or have bought one (maybe a trash like Doors and many others), hit the neck in the dog and then tore out the door without training him. And sometimes they are simply stupid and can not fix stupid. Sometimes a conventional fence is not an option due to cost of about a great piece of property or because some housing developments have restrictions on fences. Sometimes a fence conventional not contain your dog at all. You can go above or below it. If you are looking for an Invisible Fence brand fence you will need to contact a local distributor to obtain a price to install it but I can almost guarantee it will be over $ 1000.00. If you want to install yourself (and quite easy to do in 2 to 3 hours depending the size of your property) is available online (but not the brand I / F). "invisible" type of fence consists of three things. The first is the cable is buried an inch or two on the floor. This wire defines the outer perimeter of the containment zone. You can also block areas (flowers, pools, etc.) within containment area. Some experiments can be essential in this regard. Second is the transmitter that mounts on the inner wall and connected to the wire fence, and the third is the collar the dog wears. The transmitter sends an AM radio band signal that the collar will sense if your pet reaches near the field of electronics. The neck will deliver a correction. Some of the best will give a warning beep before delivering a shock. Although it is a blow that will not harm your pet in any way. Small marker flags are placed along the inside edge of the area from 5 to 10 feet during the training period and delete (all other) as the pet gets used to the fence. Huskies are escape artists. We have 16 of them. All I have found they can not go over or under is invisible type fencing. Some people say it does not work on Huskies. They do not know what they are talking. You can not buy cheap things, like what they sell at Lowe's or Home Depot or PetSmart etc. The best I've found is the Smart Dog 2100 by Innotek. You can find it online at several sites, discounted for less than $ 170.00 with 1 collar. Necklaces extra round $ 80.00. The kit has everything needed including 500 'of wire and flags, enough to make a quarter acre. Expansion kits (500 'of wire and flags) are available for $ 38.00 and include a little over an acre. The collars are rechargeable (unlike the "Invisible Fence" and many others where you have to purchase the property (one place to get it = expensive) batteries every 3 months or so), has a battery backup for the transmitter, run through prevention, waterproof, etc. if you are in an area that has a lot of thunderstorms I would consider a lighting protection module ($ 50.00). Innotek now owns the brand invisible fence. Be sure to use heat shrink type crimp on butt connectors on the cable if necessary. They are available in the chandlery stores. Do not use "wire nuts weatherproof" Lowe's, etc. Do not work for long in this application. Use an edger to dig the "trench" for the cable. The cable must be buried only 1 or 2 inches down. The yard will "heal" within a few days normally. Crossing paths can be done two ways, wash a tunnel underneath with a garden hose or use an industrial Sierra with a concrete blade to cut a groove an inch or less deep, place the wire and seal it with a concrete sealer. For a gravel driveway, dig a trench about one inch wide and aa bout 3 or 4 inches deep, lay an old piece of garden hose in the trench and put the wire through. This will protect the cable cutting gravel when hit by a car. The key is taking the time to train your pet. I've known people to pay much money for a fence, neck strap your dog and then complain that the fence is junk when it blows the dog through it. Also, you do not mention the breed of dog. The long-haired breeds require a longer contact investigation on the neck (which is included with the previous system). Training may take awhile, one of ours took 18 months (it was a bit stubborn) before we trusted her, most were pretty good in a month or so, and we have one that is only 3 days! Small marker flags are placed along the inside edge of the area from 5 to 10 feet during the period training and eliminate (each other) as the pet gets used to the fence. It takes place on a leash and when they come to pull the flags of the dog and give a strong "no" command. When he comes to you give him praise and maybe a treat. Do this around the perimeter of the containment zone. As time allows them to enter the field, pull back and "no" again. Eventually they will get a shock. re-take the "no", pull him back and praise. You can also lock the garden areas you do not want that in When Hurricane Isabel came through we had no power for 3 weeks, the ground has changed with all the fallen trees, and underground cable was damaged and the fence none of the kids even tried the fence. We have 16 Huskies (17 until he lost one during the summer due to medical reasons), all free to run around, contained in our 6 acre yard. Nor fence of 6 feet … this I learned when I lived elsewhere and was attacked by a dog of neighbors in my backyard. As for people being afraid of dogs, and if a field barrier of 15 to 20 feet is not enough, it would be a fence. Furthermore, if the pet stays on your property who cares if they are too scared. As for a dog running through … Well, yes, that could happen, however, with training appropriate, is unlikely. Huskies have a very high prey drive. Where we live we have a lot of wildlife, large and small. The children line up along the edge the field and watch the rabbits, geese, deer, etc. They do not challenge the fence. The deer and geese have learned that children can and can not go and stay on the outskirts of "Husky country". Sometimes within 5 feet of children. As I have said does not. The key is training. That is the most important part of the installation of the fence. Some people advocate the "wireless" type of fence. You have little control over the coverage area. DOG INVISIBLE FENCING SYSTEM

Materials needed:

– Good quality brush, preferably one size, available in most craft stores;

– Invisible Glow Paint now water-based is better, because it is safer to the environment and easier after cleaning;

– Old toothbrush;

– Cleaning cloths;

– Abandonment of cloth / old sheets;

– Tape painter / old ribbon and tack;

– Light the torches;

– Stairs

Preparing the room

1) Empty Room furniture as possible

2) Cover the soil and buildings paintings or furniture items with a drop cloth, or just the old leaves.

Painting Instructions:

1) First use painter bands, or even a colored ribbon and tacks, tape the ceiling in the smaller areas. A bit like using a paint system network.

2) Darken the room as possible. Keep the light of torches in hand to help you grow in the dark.

3) exposing the shiny paint of light sunlight or strong light source such as a compact fluorescent lamp, about 5 minutes. Now, when you take the picture in the dark room, you realize the how it glows in the dark!

4) Dip the brush in paint and place random dots glow in the pavilion on a grid at the moment. Sure that the items are different sizes, but most certainly should not exceed one tenth of a dollar!

Remember that you do not paint the wall behind mirror coz 'you will not see when the lights turn off, right?

The idea base is that, when the room is dark, must be capable of displaying only bright spots of paint on the ceiling and walls of the room.

You can paint dots on the doors of cabinets and other furniture, if you wish. This would further the illusion of being totally 'Lost in Space " floating on a bed space!

6) Once the walls are made to your taste, you can scale and dropcloth / leaves covering the ground and / or furniture in the room.

7) Dilute a small amount of glow paint in equal parts of water. Shake well to mix.

Dip a toothbrush in this mixture and sprinkle on the carpet or floor of his room.

Make sure not walk in areas that were sprayed paint. In my opinion the best way is to return to the room, then spread.

9) What air paint dry for half an hour. Just to be absolutely sure.

10) Place all the furniture in the room.

11) Charge to painting in the room with a powerful source of light. A fluorescent lamp Compact (CFL) bulb of about 15 to 20 watts will be perfect.

If you enjoy using the black light, please use only the tube and not waste time and money on a bulb!

Sunlight is the best. So if it's daylight, you can open windows to let entering sunlight. Five minutes is enough.

12) darken the room again, as much as possible.

Now the icing on the cake …!

Spray a pine or flower-based Ambientador in the room.

Play soft music and …

Voila! It is officially "Lost in Outer Space".

Your bed feels like a magic carpet floating in space.
